I guess you’d call me a lifelong entrepreneur. When I was about eleven years old I started a school in our basement – it ran in the summer afternoons. Yeah – I bucked all the trends of kids not wanting to be in school in the summer and set up a classroom. Don’t remember what I taught other than we had lots of glue and crayons in the room – the creative side of my brain was already at work!

I incorporated my first business when I was nineteen. I was working in the Human Resources department of a large organization and saw the horrible quality resumes that would come in. So I set up a company called Future Horizons Consulting (even then I was looking toward the future) and gave workshops on writing great resumes and performing well in interviews. Must have thought a lot of myself to think I could teach people twice my age how to apply for a job!

In 1994 I was a newly divorced mom with three children under ten years old. I began a typing business that within 3 years grew into a company that provided web development and training services to an international market, and saw me get nominated for Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year.

As a web pioneer I have been called upon to speak to organizations as diverse as the Southern Alberta Teachers Federation and the Sacramento (California) Chamber of Commerce. I was thrilled when my first website was chosen by the New York Times as “one of the best biz sites on the ‘net” – the same day they chose Microsoft. That honor helped build my brand, and led to some amazing opportunities.

I’m a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach and today I focus on helping business owners achieve their goals through a range of services including keynotes, workshops and seminars and product development.

I’d love to work with you if you’re motivated to achieve great things and are energized for the future!

Let me help you “think beyond boundaries!”
